Wallet Address + Apply for the Coinbase Visa Card…

Step 1: Register with Coinbase by using the link below (my affiliate link) you get $10 worth of BTC and so do I if you use this link. Once you have registered remember to get yours to share with people)

COINBASE LINK

Once you register you will need to go to your email inbox and check you have received an email from Coinbase asking you to verify your registration.

Step 2:

Once you have your account opened you will need to link your credit/debit card, and/or your bank account and/or Paypal. I have all 3 linked to my Coinbase account. To link your accounts go to settings, top right-hand corner where your profile image is and click on the downward arrow, click on settings, click on linked accounts. Add the accounts you want to. Once you have linked your bank account it may take up to 2 days to verify that it’s your bank account. Coinbase will send a small amount of money to your account and ask you to verify the amount. Then your account will be up and running ready for you to transfer fiat currency to Coinbase to exchange for BTC/Crypto. Coinbase will send you regular emails to keep you up to date with what’s happening during this process. For those of us in the UK, it’s just like online banking and works extremely well once the setup process has been completed

Step 3:

You will be asked to verify your account at some point, this is called KYC (Know Your Customer). You will be required to upload personal documents e.g. passport, driving license, and possibly a utility bill with your current name and address on it, exactly as you have given in your initial set up at Step 1.

Step 4

Set up Google Authentication for extra security on your funded account.

Go to your settings and click on Security and follow the instructions. You can either use Google Authenticator or receive an SMS text to your phone with the code, to verify every step of your transactions. You can download the Google Authenticator app to your phone by opening your browser and googling ‘download google authenticator app. Now that you have your Coinbase account funded with fiat currency you need to exchange that fiat currency for bitcoin/crypto – making sense so far? – and to do this we trade it, one currency for another.

Step 5:

Buying Bitcoin/Crypto

To buy Bitcoin/Crypto go to your dashboard inside Coinbase and click on ‘Trade’ to the right by your profile image, it’s on a little blue rectangular box. A pop-up box will appear and choose the ‘buy’ option, then choose your method of payment. Click the buy bitcoin. You will receive an email from Coinbase when the transaction is complete. You now have your Coinbase account funded with bitcoin/crypto ready to send to wherever you want it to go.

***NOTE Direct bank transfer (online banking for us in the UK) is quicker and cheaper than using a debit/credit card. Most often, funds appear within 1-2 hours and you get 100% of your cash to the Coinbase wallet. Do it directly into Coinbase Pro and it’s ready to trade for BTC or whatever with minimal fuss and no fees. If using debit/credit cards it’s highly likely that your transaction will be refused and you will have to ring your bank to authorize the payment, also you will pay an exchange fee of 3.99% to Coinbase for using a credit/debit card
